On August 28, 2026, IPF hosted a Professional Development Day for the teaching staff of all Saxony International Primary Schools.

Our entire teaching staff had the opportunity to take part in a variety of inspiring and engaging professional development sessions. The focus was on exciting and practical topics such as left-handedness, dyscalculia and other specific learning difficulties, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in everyday school life and lesson planning.

The enriching day provided our teachers with new perspectives, valuable insights, and practical ideas to support their daily educational work. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn, exchange experiences, and further develop our teaching practices together.

The successful day concluded with a shared meal in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, providing the perfect opportunity to connect and reflect on the day’s experiences.

What an incredible week for our Grade 2 students!

From Tuesday to Friday, they took part in an intensive swimming camp at LimboMar Indoor Pool and Rußdorf Outdoor Pool. Throughout the week, they practiced with great determination, courage, and enthusiasm.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated swimming instructors and everyone involved in making this experience possible. We are grateful for the wonderful SIS cooperation and support.

Today marked the grand finale as our students proudly earned their swimming badges. Whether Seahorse, Bronze, or even Silver, every badge tells a story of courage, perseverance, and the determination to grow beyond one’s own limits. We are especially proud that several children achieved the Silver Swimming Badge—an outstanding accomplishment!

Summer can come—our children are ready for the water! 💙💚

Was für eine erfolgreiche Woche für unsere Klasse 2!

Von Dienstag bis heute fand das Schwimmcamp im Hallenbad LimboMar und im Freibad Rußdorf statt. Mit viel Mut, Ehrgeiz und Freude arbeiteten die Kinder täglich an ihren Schwimmfähigkeiten.

Ein herzliches Dankeschön gilt unseren trägerinternen Schwimmtrainern sowie allen Beteiligten. Die großartige Zusammenarbeit hat diese Woche zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht.

Heute folgte der krönende Abschluss: Unsere Kinder legten erfolgreich ihre Schwimmabzeichen ab. Ob Seepferdchen, Bronze oder sogar Silber – jedes einzelne Abzeichen erzählt eine Geschichte von Mut, Ausdauer und dem Willen, über sich hinauszuwachsen. Besonders stolz sind wir darauf, dass einige Kinder sogar das Silberabzeichen erreichen konnten. Was für ein großartiger Erfolg für unsere gesamte Klasse!

Die Sommerferien können kommen – unsere Kinder sind bestens vorbereitet und fit fürs Wasser! ☀️🏊‍♀️💙💚

🏃‍♀️☀️ Sports Day – giving our best together

Today was Sports Day, and our students showed what determination, perseverance, and team spirit truly look like.

In the disciplines of the 50-meter sprint, long jump, and ball throw, the children gave their very best and impressed us with their motivation and effort. Even the warm temperatures could not stop them from encouraging one another and celebrating each other’s successes.

Between the competitions, there was plenty of time to rest, drink water, and recharge before returning to the field with renewed energy.

The day ended with a special award ceremony, where the children’s hard work was recognized and celebrated. As a wonderful surprise, a parent from Grade 1 generously donated ice cream for all children and staff, making a great day even sweeter.

A day filled with movement, encouragement, and community — exactly what team spirit is all about. 💙💚

🏃‍♀️☀️ Sportfest – gemeinsam über sich hinauswachsen

Heute fand unser Sportfest statt und die Kinder haben eindrucksvoll gezeigt, was in ihnen steckt.

Beim 50-Meter-Lauf, Weitsprung und Weitwurf stellten sie sich den sportlichen Herausforderungen mit viel Motivation, Ehrgeiz und Freude. Besonders schön war zu beobachten, wie sich die Kinder gegenseitig anfeuerten, unterstützten und gemeinsam über Erfolge freuten. Genau so leben wir Teamgeist an unserer Schule.

Trotz der warmen Temperaturen wurden ausreichend Pausen eingelegt, sodass alle gestärkt und mit guter Laune dabei sein konnten.

Den gelungenen Abschluss bildete die Siegerehrung, bei der die Leistungen der Kinder gewürdigt wurden. Für eine besondere Überraschung sorgte außerdem eine Mama aus Klasse 1, die allen Kindern und Mitarbeitenden ein Eis spendierte und damit für viele strahlende Gesichter sorgte.

Ein wunderbarer Tag voller Bewegung, sportlicher Herausforderungen, Gemeinschaft und schöner Erinnerungen. 💙💚

18 students, 3 teams, one unforgettable day in Chemnitz. 💙💚

Today, 18 students from all grade levels represented our school at the Chemnitz Primary School Championships 2026.

With three teams on the field, our students showed determination, teamwork, and fair play throughout the day. While the final placements were 12th, 13th, and 14th, they gained something even more valuable: experience, resilience, and lots of great memories.

A special congratulations goes to our Grade 2 top scorer, who scored an amazing 7 goals! ⚽🏆

Most importantly, everyone had fun, supported one another, and returned home safely.

A huge thank you to SV Barkas for providing transportation and sponsoring footballs for our school and after-school program. We also thank our supportive parents and our football specialist and educator, whose planning and dedication made this day possible.

18 Kinder, 3 Teams, ein unvergesslicher Tag in Chemnitz. 💙💚

Heute haben 18 Kinder aus allen Klassenstufen unsere Schule bei den Chemnitzer Grundschulmeisterschaften 2026 vertreten.

Mit drei Teams zeigten unsere Schülerinnen und Schüler großen Einsatz, Teamgeist und Fairness. Die Plätze 12, 13 und 14 spiegeln dabei nur einen Teil des Tages wider. Viel wichtiger sind die Erfahrungen, die unsere Kinder sammeln konnten.

Besonders stolz sind wir auf unseren Torschützenkönig aus Klasse 2 mit beeindruckenden 7 Toren! ⚽🏆

Am Ende hatten alle Kinder Spaß, unterstützten sich gegenseitig und kamen gesund und unverletzt zurück.

Ein herzliches Dankeschön geht an den SV Barkas für den bereitgestellten Bus und die gesponserten Fußbälle für Schule und Hort. Ebenso danken wir den Eltern sowie unserer Fußballspezialistin und Erzieherin, die diesen Tag mit viel Engagement geplant und begleitet hat.

Denn manchmal sind die größten Gewinne nicht Pokale, sondern gemeinsame Erlebnisse und Erinnerungen. 💙💚⚽️
