🌸🐰 A little Easter mystery at our school
In the days leading up to Easter, our children lovingly crafted their own Easter baskets — full of anticipation and excitement.
But then, suddenly… they disappeared.
Mysterious posters appeared, questions filled the hallways, and our students quickly became little detectives. Together, they searched, guessed, and followed clues — driven by curiosity, teamwork, and a shared sense of adventure.
And then, the moment everyone had been waiting for:
The baskets were found again.
Joy, relief, and proud smiles spread throughout the school.
What began as a mystery became a powerful experience of togetherness, showing how much can be achieved when we work as one.
We wish all our students and families a joyful and sunny Easter time. 💙💚

✨ Explorer Days – a week to remember💙💚

What an incredible week full of discovery, creativity, and unforgettable moments!
During our Explorer Days, the children became true explorers — learning independently at different stations, diving into topics like healthy nutrition, space, and first aid. Every day was filled with hands-on experiences, teamwork, and joyful learning.
A very special highlight: our First Aid Day, where the children learned how to help in real-life situations. At the same time, our Grade 3 students explored a completely different world — spending their project day in Chemnitz at allesholz, creating and discovering craftsmanship with their own hands.
We ended this inspiring week together with a cozy breakfast and many proud smiles.
Moments like these show what learning can truly be: alive, meaningful, and full of joy. 💙💚

🪻🌷Springfestival & Open Day 💙💚

🌸 Spring Festival & Open Day – a day full of joy and community!
Yesterday our school was filled with excitement as we celebrated our Spring Festival & Open Day.
The celebration began in the Sports hall with a wonderful opening: two third graders proudly presented a poem they had written themselves. This was followed by the children of the dance club and the kindergarten children with a cheerful song. The highlight of the opening was the moment when all children — from kindergarten and school — to sing together. A beautiful symbol of our shared SIS and GGB community. 🎶
Afterwards, the whole school turned into a place of discovery. Visitors could craft, experiment, explore languages, and even create spring seed bombs.
There was also the SIS school clothing sale by Edelwäsche Fischer, a book sale, and a large tombola. Inside and outside, many delicious foods and drinks were available, creating a lively festival atmosphere everywhere.
It was a day full of laughter, encounters, and shared moments.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organize this event, supported it, and to all families and guests who came to celebrate with us.
Together we made this day something truly special. 💙💚

🌸 Springfestival & Tag der offenen Tür – ein Tag voller Freude und Gemeinschaft!
Gestern herrschte in unserer Schule eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre, als wir gemeinsam unser Springfestival & den Tag der offenen Tür feierten.
Eröffnet wurde das Fest in der Turnhalle: Zwei Drittklässlerinnen präsentierten stolz ein selbst geschriebenes Gedicht über den Frühling. Anschließend folgten die Kinder der Tanz-GTA und die Kita-Kinder mit einem frühlingshaften Lied. Der besondere Höhepunkt der Eröffnung war jedoch der Moment, als alle Kinder aus Kita und Schule gemeinsam sangen – ein wunderbares Zeichen für den gemeinsamen Verbund von SIS und GGB. 🎶
Danach verwandelte sich die Schule in eine große Entdeckerwelt: Es wurde gebastelt, experimentiert, Sprache entdeckt und sogar Saatbomben für den Frühling hergestellt.
Außerdem gab es den SIS-Schulkleidungsverkauf durch Edelwäsche Fischer, einen Buchverkauf sowie eine große Tombola. Für das leibliche Wohl war drinnen und draußen mit vielen Speisen und Getränken bestens gesorgt.
Es war ein Tag voller Lachen, Begegnungen und schöner gemeinsamer Momente.
Ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle, die dieses Fest möglich gemacht haben, an alle Helferinnen und Helfer sowie an alle Familien und Gäste, die diesen besonderen Tag mit uns gefeiert haben.
Gemeinsam haben wir ihn zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. 💙💚

✨ carnival time 🎭 17th of February

🎭✨ Two colorful carnival days full of joy!
Yesterday was all about creativity: the children crafted bright carnival masks, covered in glitter and shining colors — almost as much as the sparkle in their eyes. 🎨
Today, the big carnival party took place! With music, dancing, games, and of course some tasty snacks, everyone celebrated together. 🎶🍬
Joined by the preschool and pre-preschool children, a long and joyful polonaise made its way through the building.
Afterwards, the school children headed to the gym for even more fun with games like “Balloon Slalom,” “Pompon Run,” and “Mr. Fisherman, how deep is the water?”
After such an exciting morning, it has now become quiet at lunchtime — because a party like this makes you hungry, thirsty, and pleasantly tired. What wonderful carnival days! 💙💚

🎭✨ Zwei bunte Faschingstage voller Freude!
Gestern stand das Basteln im Mittelpunkt: Es entstanden viele farbenfrohe Faschingsmasken. Glitzer und leuchtende Farben schimmerten überall — genauso wie das Strahlen in den Kinderaugen. 🎨
Heute folgte dann die große Faschingsparty! Mit Musik, Tanz, Spielen und natürlich ein paar Snacks wurde ausgelassen gefeiert. 🎶🍬
Gemeinsam mit den Kindern der Vorschule und VorVorschule zog eine fröhliche Polonaise durch das ganze Haus.
Anschließend ging es für die Schulkinder noch in die Turnhalle, wo „Luftballon-Slalom“, „Pompon-Lauf“ und „Herr Fischer, wie tief ist das Wasser?“ gespielt wurden.
Nach diesem aufregenden Vormittag ist es nun zur Mittagszeit ruhig geworden — denn so eine Party macht hungrig, durstig und müde. Was für wunderbare Faschingstage! 💙💚

Today, our students from Grades 1 to 3 received their mid-year reports — but first, the day started with a lovely class breakfast.
Fresh rolls, vegetables, fruit, snacks, and even a few sweet treats made for a warm and joyful start together.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed some fresh air before the children proudly received their reports.
Now it’s time to head into winter break — after a day full of experiences, recognition, and happy moments.
We are incredibly proud of your achievements and already looking forward to the second half of the school year. 💙💚

Heute erhielten die Kinder der Klassen 1 bis 3 ihre Halbjahresinformationen – doch gestartet sind wir mit einem gemütlichen Klassenfrühstück.
Leckere Brötchen, Gemüse, Obst, Snacks und auch ein paar Süßigkeiten sorgten für einen schönen gemeinsamen Auftakt.
Danach ging es noch einmal an die frische Luft, bevor alle Kinder stolz ihre Zeugnisse entgegennahmen.
Nun starten wir in die Winterferien – nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag mit vielen Ehrungen und glücklichen Momenten.
Wir sind unglaublich stolz auf eure Erfolge und freuen uns schon auf die zweite Hälfte des Schuljahres. 💙💚

✨ The past weeks have been filled with music, learning, creativity, and togetherness.
Music connected us in many ways — we sang in English, Spanish, and German, showing the diversity and unity of our school community.
From “Jingle Bells” to “Feliz Navidad” and “Lichterkinder singen zur Weihnacht”, our voices came together across languages. 🎶
Alongside singing, we learned, crafted, and shared many special moments during the Christmas season.
As a sign of kindness and care, the children created Christmas cards for the “Seniorenhaus im Sonnenlicht” and wrote heartfelt messages for the residents.
After yesterday’s choir performance, the cards were handed over — and the joy was clearly visible in the grateful eyes of both the seniors and the children.
With warm hearts, we say thank you for a wonderful year.
We wish everyone a joyful Christmas season and all the best for the year ahead. 💙💚
